Art Workshop - Styles From Around The World

About this event

Join us for a morning of art and fun as we celebrate the rich artistic traditions from around the world! In honor of Native American Heritage Month, Kören Beck of Edgemont Art Barn will show participants a closer look at some of the unique styles and achievements of Native American and First Nations artists from North America in the 20th century. Afterwards, participants can draw based on a simple still life arrangement, take inspiration from some of the discussed works, or freely create. Come paint in a relaxed and supportive environment. Try something new, pick up some helpful tips, or or discover a style you've never considered. All levels are welcome. Supplies will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own sketchbooks and other supplies if they want more variety in media. Kören has her MFA from Parsons School of Design and loves to teach adults and children.
